This research was used by qualitative research design with phenomenological approach, this research investigated EFL Teachers Teaching Experiences through teacher Strategies and teachers’ challenges in Improving Students Communicative Competence for Students in Hospitality Department of State vocational High School Jambi. In this research the participants was three English teachers in vocational school Jambi city. The results of the voices from the English teacher were collected to explore their strategies in Teaching English at Vocational School. Teachers teaching by giving the students a thousand words of English Vocabulary to be remembered per each time, learning by using Video, using group working as their strategies and also teaching by using games, then always gave appreciate to motivate the students. Besides that teaching the students by giving them such kind of a reading text and also using Dialogue through drama and also using e-learning for example like whatsapp as the strategies in teaching also the best way to improve the students in order to enhance their communicative competence. However, the teachers are challenged in improving the student in communicative competence was in improving their motivation and also their interest in learning English. |
